Dr. Edward Lowe founded the Vancouver Centre for Cosmetic Dentistry 18 years ago. In addition to serving patients in his general dental practice, Dr. Lowe also instructs and lectures world wide to dentists wishing to learn the art of cosmetic dentistry from one who has truly mastered the craft. He is a member of the Canadian and American Dental Associations, and is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. This sought after designation has been attained by only 3% of the 8,000+ members world-wide.

Dr. Lowe’s favourite saying is: ‘When you sit in my chair – you are the President. I am only your advisor’. His ‘patients for life’ attest to Dr. Lowe’s passion for doing his level best for every patient. His other profession as a professional photographer allows him to utilize high resolution images to demonstrate to every patient exactly what faces them now, and show every solution option available. Many of the tasks and skills performed daily in this practice were not even invented 5 or 10 years ago. Technology in dentistry is never standing still. In Dr. Lowe’s spare time he sits on the editorial boards of several leading dental journals, publishes voraciously, and instructs both Cosmetic Dentistry and Digital Dental Photography to dentists from around the world at the renowned Pacific Implant Institute.

Every patient really has the same three basic desires: 1) make my teeth look good, 2) make my teeth feel good, 3) make them strong, healthy, and last a long time. Many dentists use some elements of cosmetic dentistry to accomplish the ‘looking good’ part of the equation. The extent to which your dental wishes are granted depends entirely on the training, equipment, and the experience of the Cosmetic Dentist.  We repair the ravages of time, wear and tear, accidents, and disease. I pride myself on the expertise and skill of my team, and we work (according to our patients) ‘near miracles’ to restore both the appearance and function of their teeth. We straighten teeth, we replace teeth, and we refinish teeth to match the best your natural teeth have ever looked. It is entirely possible to take 20 years off a patient’s appearance.
